Eight homes will make up the Summerfield at Sherwood subdivision in Sherwood. Once considered a rural community isolated from the lively Portland metro area, Sherwood has grown in recent years to offer its residents many recreational activities and employment opportunities. In fact, the July 2007 issue of Money Magazine named Sherwood the 18th best place to live in America. The magazine wrote that towns made the list based on “economic opportunity, good schools, safe streets, things to do and a sense of community.” Despite recent growth, Sherwood has not lost its small-town charm.
